Air Conditioning Inspection Reports.
Air Conditioning Inspection Reports (TM44).
The requirement for Air Conditioning System inspection is the size, the effective rated output, not the type of building. Therefore the inspections requirements apply to homes, commercial and public buildings. The rated output of over 12kW, is the combined output of one or more individual air conditioning systems in a building. An energy inspection of an air-conditioning system must be carried out by an accredited energy assessor who is a current member of an approved accreditation scheme. The appropriate methodology is as described in CIBSE TM44 or equivalent.
The energy assessor must provide a written report of the inspection to the person who has control of the operation of the air-conditioning system as soon as practicable after the inspection.
The Aim of the InspectionThe primary aim of the inspection is to give building owners and operators information about the performance of their buildings and plant, and to identify opportunities to save energy and cut operating costs. The inspection should as far as possible be carried out by making visual observations of the plant and other visual indicators such as refrigerant sight glasses, pressure, temperature or filter gauges, although where these are not available the inspector may be able to take some test readings.
Our approach to compliance is with the background of experience in air conditioning and Ventilation design, installation, service and maintenance. Our Inspector is a qualified hands on engineer, with F-Gas Certification.
The service we supply can be tailored to meet your requirements, and can start with the basic compliance survey as detailed in the CIBSE TM44 Guide, through to extended detailed surveys of all systems and controls, including electronic data collection.
We can produce an asset database for all sites and equipment, this includes all ODS and F-Gas compliance details.
Where the mandatory ODS and F-Gas Regulation, minimum yearly or earlier leak testing has not be carried out we can also offer this service.
